چکیده

Abstract Health condition monitoring of induction motors is important because their vital role and wide us in a variety industries. A stator inter-turn fault (SITF) considered to be the most common electrical failure according statistical studies. In this paper, an algorithm for detection SITF presented. It based on one blind source separation techniques called principal component analysis (PCA). The proposed uses PCA discriminate between faulty components motor current signatures voltage from other components. standard deviation decomposed vectors used as criterion. criterion robust non-fault conditions including quality problems large mechanical load changes well harmonic contaminants supply. addition, with straightforward low computational burden process, method computationally efficient. To evaluate performance method, numbers practical simulation scenarios are considered, results confirm good performance, high degree accuracy, convergence speed method.

Inter-Turn Stator Winding Fault Diagnosis in Three-phase Induction Motors, by Park's Vector Approach

The subject of on-line detection and location of inter-turn short circuits in the stator windings of three-phase induction motors is discussed, and a noninvasive approach, based on the computer-aided monitoring of the stator current Parks Vector, is introduced. Experimental results, obtained by using a special fault producing test rig, demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed technique, fo...

Design of an Active Approach for Detection, Estimation and Short-Circuit Stator Fault Tolerant Control in Induction Motors

Three phase induction motors have many applications in industries. Consequently, detecting and estimating the fault and compensate it in a way that the faulty induction motor satisfies the predefined goals are important issues. One of the most common faults in induction motors is the short circuit of the stator winding. In this paper, an active fault-tolerant control system is designed and pres...

A Fuzzy Based Stator Inter-Turn Fault Diagnosis of Three Phase Induction Motor

This paper deals with detection and diagnosis of Stator Inter turn fault of three phase Induction motor. The proposed method is based on the stator current Clarke vector pattern. Three phase stator currents are used to construct Clarke vector pattern in order to distinguish the “healthy” and “faulty” condition of induction motor. The covered area for each pattern is calculated and the per unit ...
